Welcome to LoneStar Handgun! We are proud to be offering classes on Concealed Carry for the Ft Hood area. We believe that exercising ones Second Amendment Rights are just as important today just as they were over 200 years ago. The threats out their are real and one must be able to understand how the Laws allow them to defend themselves in various situations. 
    Having a Concealed Handgun License (CHL) is a tremendous responsibility that should not be taken lightly. The reasons for carrying a concealed handgun are numerous. From protecting one's self and family as well as possibly protecting those who are unable to protect themselves. A CHL holder is a responsible citizen who has a good understanding of Chapter 9 of the TX Penal Code and what situations warrant the use of Deadly Force.
    Those seeking to become a CHL holder DO NOT need to be an expert with their handgun or have an extensive knowledge about guns in general. The intent of this law from the Texas Legislature was for citizens to be able to legally carry a concealed handgun in order to defend themselves or their property. It was meant for all law abiding citizens who do not have a criminal background. It does not require the registration of your handgun, for that matter you do not even need to own a handgun to take the class.
