SHOOTING RANGE

I am from a different state/country. Can I still shoot at LoneStar Handgun?

Yes! As long as you aren't prohibited from owning firearms you can shoot.

How much does it cost?

It is $12.95 for Adults, $11.95 for First Responders/ Veterans and $7.95 for 17y/o and younger

Am I allowed to shoot my own firearm?

Yes. You may bring your own firearms to shoot. We require all firearms to be in a secure case, range bag, or holstered prior to entering our facility. The ammunition must be range safe. No armor piercing may be used. We limit caliber size of rifles to 300 Win Mag. Muzzle loaded firearms are allowed.

I have never shot before. Do I need to take a class?

You do not need prior instruction in order to shoot at our range. We do require that you fill out a waiver (before) using our facilities. We also offer private instruction and a wide variety of classes for everyone from first time to veteran shooters.

We always encourage firearms training to enhance proficiency and safety.

Am I allowed to take photographs and videos?

Yes. You may take videos and photographs of your own party.

Can I shoot rifles and shotguns at your range? What kind of ammunition is allowed?

Yes, we allow rifles up to 300 Wing Mag. We DO NOT allow ammunition that is steel core or armor piercing.

What type of clothing is required to use the range at the range? Do you have a dress code?

We don’t have a dress code, however, we recommend shooters wear closed-toed footwear and shirts that aren’t low cut to avoid getting burned by spent shell casings.

Do you have eye and ear protection to rent?

We do not have eye and ear protection to rent, however we do have inexpensive options for you to purchase and keep with you for the next time you visit the range.

RETAIL SALES

Do you sell firearms at the LoneStar Handgun?

Yes! We have a full retail establishment where you can purchase a wide variety of firearms.

Do you offer gunsmith services?

Yes, we have limited gunsmithing services available on site, such as site installs, cleaning and zeroing.

Do you transfer firearms from other dealers? What is the cost?

Yes, there is a $20 processing fee for Texas LTC holders and a $30 processing fee for non-LTC holders.

Do you offer gun storage?

No, not at this time.

How long do I have before I must pick up my firearm without incurring fees?

Once any item (including firearms) is purchased in store, online, transferred in or out, to or from another location or has work performed on it, the customer will have 30 days to process and complete all required paperwork, make payment of any outstanding balance of cost or fees and remove the item.

Any items (including firearms) left at LoneStar Handgun longer than 30 days will begin to accrue monthly storage fee of $30/ item. These fees will be assessed on the 1st of every month and must be paid in full before the item will be transferred out or picked up.

FIREARM RENTALS

Do you have firearms to rent?

Yes! We have a large assortment of pistols, rifles and shotguns to rent which can be seen here. We also have a wide variety of fully automatic machine guns for rent as well!

Can I shoot my own ammo through the rental firearms?

No. We require that our ammo is used when shooting our rental firearms.

Can I reserve a rental gun?

No, our rental guns are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
